From the brochure:
It’s time to rev the engines and get energized for Get a Clue @ Your Library. The 2007 committee will start the day off with some stimulating ideas you can use this summer. It is also time to take a good, hard look at summer reading in your library—what you do, why you do it, etc. Carole Fiore former Youth Services Consultant for the state of Florida and author of Fiore’s Summer Library Reading Program Handbook will work with you to explore why summer programs are important to the overall library program. Traditionally, youth serving library staff put an inordinate amount of effort into creating summer programs – but they wind up serving the same audience. Find out why reaching other segments of the community is important. Learn how to build on community connections and come up with alternatives that may not be as labor intensive for staff.
Registration forms can be found on the Commonwealth Libraries website, and questions should be directed to Susan Pannebaker.
