Bloomin' Rural Libraries - part of the Gates Rural Library Sustainability Project - is coming to the Hotel Carlisle on Wednesday, April 11. CCLS member libraries may be interested in attending this presentation - each library may send two participants.
The descriptions I've read are pretty vague, but include things like networking with other rural library staff members; discovering new resources for rural libraries; learning strategies for funding, outreach and advocacy; discovering planning techniques and technology tools.
It is a free workshop - lunch and travel reimbursement - and attendees will be entered into a drawing to win a free trip to ALA Annual Conference in June 2007.
Please contact me if you would like a copy of the registration form; an agenda is below. If you have questions about this event, please contact Jim Hollinger or Diana Megdad. This event is sponsored by the Office of Commonwealth Libraries, Bureau of Library Development, and registrations are handled through them.
