PALINET is hosting four discussions on the OCLC publication Perceptions of Libraries and Information Resources (2005).
Cathy De Rosa, OCLC Vice President, Marketing and Library Services, will be talking about this research and how it can influence our future library services, followed by discussion, at two free events:
- Free Library of Philadelphia on Thursday, April 20, 2006; 10:00 am – 12:30 pm
- Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh on Friday, April 21, 2006; 10:00 am – 12:30 pm
To RSVP for either session, reply to harnish@palinet.org and indicate which session you will attend.
Two additional discussions on the Perceptions document are scheduled for the PALINET Member Meeting on June 6, 2006, at Seton Hall University (NJ) and one in Maryland (time and place to be determined).
If you can't attend a PALINET session, consider attending the SirsiDynix archived webcast Understanding The Libraries Brand: The OCLC Perceptions of Libraries and Information Resources Report, which will be held at CCLS on April 19. Alane Wilson, OCLC Senior Library Market Consultant, will present. The registration deadline has passed, and RSVPs have been sent, but just contact me if you would like to attend!
Finally, if you like Podcasts, you might enjoy listening to a 45-minute conversation with George Needham, George is Vice President for Member Services at OCLC. This comes to us from Talking with Talis.
