Libraries exist to make a difference. Whether they are a public library, on campus, or within a governmental or business organization, they are instrumental in creating better places to live, work, and learn.
The most forward-thinking libraries are using new technologies to become indispensable to their communities and build new relationships. Often such initiatives receive little recognition. That is about to change.
SirsiDynix is establishing the Building Better Communities Awards. Now is your chance to tell the world about the outstanding work that libraries do – and five library organizations will each receive US$10,000 as a reward!
An independent panel of library leaders from throughout Canada and the United States will select the award recipients. Any North American SirsiDynix library whose technology leadership has distinguished it in service to its user communities is eligible.
Building Better Communities Awards recipients will be announced at the ALA Annual Conference in June 2006.
Nominate your choice now at http://www.sirsidynix.com/Company/bbc_awards.php. Don’t delay; the deadline is Friday, April 14, 2006.
If you have any questions regarding your nomination, please contact us at awards@sirsidynix.com.
